The project addresses the topic of consumerism and how it affects people and the environment. In this project I criticize the constant pursuit of new things, the constant buying of new things advertised by celebrities and mass consumption.
I was inspired by the lyrics of the band Glass Animals "Pork Soda", in which they sing "pineapples macaw in my head". I decided to use pineapple as a symbol of consumption. I wanted to present my works in the character of the 1950s and 1960s in the United States, when the term American Dream was most visible in people's everyday lives.
In my projects, I used my childhood photos and photos of seemingly happy families from the USA. In the cookbook, I used recipes containing only pineapple and designed it in such a way that it aesthetically fits the entire exhibition.
